Hi, I am Rasha Al-Ardhi, I am the Deputy Global Nutrition Cluster Coordinator for field operational support based in Geneva. I am also the GNC lead on the Technical Support Team Coordination Unit. In this role, I provide support to country-level nutrition in emergency coordination mechanisms. I am working with a very dedicated team ensuring regular communication and operational support provided in areas of rapid response, information management, NIS, capacity development, mentoring, Inter-sectoral collaboration & emergency response preparedness.

I am a physician and nutrition expert with over 19 years of experience working in nutrition in the humanitarian and development context with UNICEF, Ministries of Health and the Red Crescent. I have managed complex nutrition programmes in Yemen and Sudan. I have worked closely with the coordination forums within the emergency and development contexts under the Nutrition cluster, SUN movement and their related technical working groups. I am holding a bachelor’s degree in general medicine and Surgery and a master’s degree in health administration. I am passionate about Nutrition and have played different roles during my career journey, including being a health and nutrition officer, nutrition sub-cluster coordinator, national nutrition cluster coordinator, nutrition specialist and nutrition manager.

I am a mother of 2 teenagers, my son is studying engineering while my daughter is at high school in Geneva. My husband is a physician, and he is very supportive.
